Press Release: Call for Proposals: Join JH Public Art as a Community Artist

Jackson, WY:  Jackson Hole Public Art seeks artists to create temporary public artwork with our community. JHPA will provide funding for time and materials, assistance in project management and the logistics of community coordination, site permissions, advertising and use of the MobileStudio.

Projects may take place from spring through the end of 2023. Proposed projects must involve the community in the artmaking. Artists are asked to consider ideas that address a community issue (housing, transportation, mental health, environment and sustainability). We are seeking projects that are fun, memorable, playful and inviting. JHPA encourages use of repurposed materials and supports artists who desire to work with underserved populations as well.

As part of this RFP, JHPA is specifically looking for one artist/team to design and build a hive inspired artwork for the sculpture pad at the Center for the Arts. This is the entrance to the music wing, so please consider including a relationship to music.

Please visit the JH Public Art website for the full RFP and for more information about the information session for all open calls on Wednesday, March 8th, at 5pm. All concepts are due March 24, 2023.
