Don’t Miss the Closing Celebration for the Electric Dandelions at Teton Village

JACKSON, WYOMING, January 16, 2025 / On January 25th at Teton Village, there will be a GlowNights closing party from 4-6pm in the Village Commons, featuring a live DJ set with KHOL and drinks for purchase at the Caldera House Aperol tent.

As part of GlowNights, Five Electric Dandelions created by Liquid PXL, a Los Angeles art collective, are on display in the Teton Village Commons at the base of the world famous Jackson Hole Mountain Resort until January 25th, 2025.

GlowNights has become an anticipated part of Teton County’s festive winter events.

“We are delighted to bring lighted sculptures to the darkest winter months. It’s exciting to install fabricated sculptures created by art collectives that work specically with art and light in the environment. We owe thanks to lodging tax funding from Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism and our partners for making these large-scale installations possible,” says Carrie Geraci, Executive Director of Jackson Hole Public Art.

By day, the Electric Dandelions crafted from sturdy steel, translucent polycarbonate, and vibrant LEDs, captivate with their representation of a dandelion in full bloom. As the sun sets, they transform into a breathtaking spectacle. These light sculptures boast a captivating and refined lighting design, using LED lights to cascade twinkling colors high above the ground. Their distinctive spherical form is the result of a meticulously crafted geodesic sphere nestled at the core of each Dandelion. From their vertices, forty-one luminous tubes extend, forming a spectacular 15-foot diameter flower.

The Electric Dandelions are sponsored by the Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board, Teton Village Association, and Willow Street.

Located at the Center for the Arts Park until February 21st, 2025, The Cloud Swings are an interactive and joyful installation made by Lindsay Glatz of New-Orleans based Curious Form.

The Cloud Swing is a swing suspended from a glowing cloud structure, in which color and light are created as people engage with the artwork and swing through the air. If a swing is unoccupied, the cloud above remains a steady glow, which shines downward and illuminates the empty swing as an invitation to passersby. Once someone begins to swing, the transformation begins and the steady glow is replaced by vibrant colors that become more saturated as the swing moves faster. The goal of The Cloud Swing is to provide a sense of nostalgic joy and connect participants to childhood delights and the wonders of simple play.

“We love the playful Cloud Swings, they are providing genuine moments of joy for young and old alike. We are thankful for the support from the Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board and the Center for the Arts for helping us bring these memorable artworks to Jackson,” says Carrie Geraci, Executive Director of Jackson Hole Public Art.

The Cloud Swings are co-presented by JHPA and Center for the Arts with generous support from Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board, Northworks, Outpost, and Two Ocean Builders.
