This asphalt art mural creates a sense of place and increases pedestrian safety at the Miller Mobility Hub. The artwork is inspired by the Wildlife Viewing Rule of Thumb Law. Extend your arm all the way out and make a “thumbs up”.

Close one eye, and see if you can hide the animal with your thumb, then you are far enough away. If you can’t cover them with your thumb, then you are too close. Respect our wildlife and your own safety. Many parks require you to stay a minimum distance of 25 yards from most wildlife and more 100 yards from predators like bears and wolves.

As you follow the different wildlife tracks running East to West down the street, notice the interrupting color bar at 25 ft. intervals. Green indicating proceed with caution, Yellow and orange indicating you’re too close to the animal at the end of the block!
